In addition to his role in REL, George serves as Chief Development Officer of Quartier Metta in Laval, Quebec in partnership with BMP Devco and Claridge Real Estate Inc.

The first phase of the project encompasses 2.5 million square feet master planned for 650 residential units, producing sales revenue (land only) exceeding $70 million.

He previously served as President of a privately held real estate development company, Destination Land Corporation, responsible for executing the company’s development strategies encompassing commercial and residential property development, later acquiring the company’s assets in Quebec where he developed two award-winning resort-residential development projects in Mont-Tremblant.

George has also developed a unique specialty consulting practice representing HNW and non-resident property owners in the management and development of exceptional personal estates, family compounds and trophy properties primarily in the Laurentians region.

As Vice-President of Northwest Value Partners Inc., a private Toronto-based real estate investment company, he was responsible for real estate acquisitions and management of investments in retail shopping centers and commercial properties.

George previously held the position of Vice-President of Business Development at Hachette-Retail North America, a division of the French Lagardere Group. He was responsible for new business development and the creation of strategic partnerships and business concepts, design and development of the company’s retail network in transportation and resort properties throughout North America.

As Vice-President of Development for Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada Inc. he led the rapid acquisition and development of properties nationally as Wendy’s accelerated its penetration across Canada. He served as a key member of the senior management team responsible for the successful turnaround and growth of Wendy’s Canadian division. Reporting to the Canadian President and the United States’ Board of Directors, Mr. Lathouras directed site acquisition and development, dispositions, property management, new business development as well as design, engineering and construction.
